Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Docusign Offer - Accept or Decline?

Anyone able to shed light on what happens if I 'do nothing' by the 3 day deadline?

Also, if you declined - what happens next?

Has anyone declined and then get offered severance at the full VMware rate? (4W/Y)

Has anyone declined and then be able to negotiate another offer?

For employee who got severance, have you already got it or it will be at end of 60 days?

As someone who accepted the offer. I urge you to take the severance. I’m regretting it. What’s about to come down the pipeline is not good for our customers.

Speaking for myself, I declined in October during the first wave of letters and got severance.

Go to your HR portal and there’s a latest faq under “supplement documents for Australia. It covers your question, good luck mate :) you got to decline within timeframe to be eligible for severance

Hey where are you based as it might depend on how strong your local law is. I literally declined my FT offer this week as I’ve got confirmation via HR ticket that severance is eligible if I decline within timeframe. However that’s for my region so make sure you raise HR ticket soon to check.
