Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

As long as there's severance, I'm good

I wouldn't be happy if I were to be laid off but as long as they provide decent severance, I'll be okay with it. I've looked at job openings and there are plenty of good positions available right now. I haven't started applying but it's good to know that the job market is not dead. If Truist was a better place to work with good culture I'd probably be more worried about being cut. But it's so and I'm not.

Future class action? You are serious, aren’t you? Unreal id--ts on this board. You are an employee at will not under contract and can get sh-t canned at any time.

Caution- don’t be so gullible as to accept the pitiable severance. You lose all rights to a future class action settlement for firings based on fiction. A 3k to 10 grand severance is chump change

And it has been dysfunctional for some time -- not just do to the recent RIF's

And it's not just "oh all our peers the morale is bad though because of the high interest rate TIMES we're innnnn" -- I'm talking like morale su-ks because it's so unorganized, inefficient, and just straight up dumpster fire in the back-office depts and across operations.

@azf When EL is as hypocritical as they are here it really doesn't need much nuance tbh. I'm all for not ~generalizing~ but morale pretty much stinks across large swaths of the bank (they just don't say it in the Teams meetings until they're talking with you 1 on 1 :) And I talk to different departments/LOB's constantly as part of my role.

sure thing… wells fargo is well known for employees tho love it..I know you goofballs can’t do nuance, but obviously depends which department you are in and who you’re working for

I’ve worked for multiple banks you know and Truist has the best culture. I’m not saying this is good just don’t get your hopes up if staying in this industry. Practice acceptance and don’t let it bother you.
