Thread regarding Kyndryl layoffs

Kyndryl trying to layoff IBMers

Kyndryl appears to be releasing ex-IBMers from Kyndryl. There appears to be a pattern where they immediately release employees from the position and move them to bench. Then they ask them to find a job within 2 months within the company or move on after that so they dont have to pay severance. This is a very bad tactic.

Kyndryl is putting people on the bench and giving 30 days now to find a job or find the door. Their Consulting business is dead in the water, they continue to pad management and senior management positions while cutting technical staff,, that's a loosing strategy.
They are targeting older folks who came over with the divestiture from IBM, who helped get the company going by remaining with clients during the transition, then the project ends and you are gone! Bad business,

I wonder why they don't release the upper management such as Martin Schroeter. He is an ex-IBMer, as well.

  • well yes, most of managers are there more than 10yrs and some were promoted as “we are all family” or from tech dept. persons, which does not understand what innovation really means, but now its fishy word
  • specially in czech centres i would avoid indian managers, as they just care about their status and chair, they rather try remove experienced people from other companies, so thats nothing to do with startup :)) mindset its just all exIBM thinking placed deeply old mindset, thats reallity even in CIC Brno :(

I'm wondering which European delivery center will go first. I think biggest are Czech republic and Poland. One will probably go since customers are leaving. That worries me. Especially in the perspective of an upcoming recession in USA.

In dws in czechia managers are already 10 years on the same position, noone cares. Aven after failure they easily find other positions inside the company.

These are no rumors! Kyndryl has redeployed a large number of people recently and most of them are ex IBM personal. There might be a class action law suite including an equal opportunity complaint based on the bias approach taken. Let’s wait and see, as time will tell

They are just rumors people. Stop the fear mongering. Do yourself a favor, don't cower like scared rabbits. If your constantly afraid of losing your position at Kyndryl. The most obvious solution is seek employment at a different company. Remove yourself entirely from the stress.

The whole system is corrupt. Corporation's just can't be trusted. They want to be seen as wholesome all American boy scouts. Riders of a white horse. The good guys, the aww Schuck's we're harmless portrayal. That portrayal is a joke. It's to bad this is what America has become. A place for unfettered corporate greed.

Fewer and fewer employers are even paying severance anymore. Be happy if you can get 6 months of government unemployment.
