Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Now I know what a car crash looks like in slow motion

Gotta say, not great presentations by Khaled and Purnima. They follow their new overlord until their plan B kicks in.

I’d guess 90% of folks in the Tanzu part of the company who are designated as being required to come to the office 5 days a week will find new jobs elsewhere.

Products will fail to ship. Revenue goals won’t be met.

Another more bad a-s leader will be put in charge who makes the current leadership look like cute puppy dogs.

The cycle will repeat for a while until goals are met otherwise the plug will be pulled.

The first rule of Broadcom is you don't disagree with your management, rules are rules, Hock manages top down and the people that stay either su-k up to him or keep their heads down.

The office is a requirement of Hocks, that way he can see what you are doing, if there is an office in your location.

I’d doubt it’s unknown to them.

The insanely high price of Tanzu speaks for itself. A product only gets cheaper if it’s being sold enough, leaving out special cases like having a monopoly.

For me the big question is rather where they see the benefit of having it in their portfolio.

Just put Kit in charge in Tanzu and it will be showing profit and innovation in no time!

Tanzu should have been ki-led off years ago, just shows how little BC knows about VMware's businesses
