Thread regarding TransUnion layoffs

Productive Loyal Team - Let Go

Sad to see so many US soil folks cut due to massive layoffs. Hard working loyal making sacrifices for a business that doesn't give a fu-k. Many hours many weekends many night. Wonder how TU took account to who stays and who goes? From LinkedIn looks like those jobs headed over seas and wonder if this was reported to Washington DC.

Two mental health days given absolute joke remove those days because TU could give a fu-k about mental health.

Was sales teams impacted? Call centers impacted? If not why not? Why so tech heavy? Over seas can’t do sales? I know when I worked around the clock sales people traveled to Greenland, Wine country etc. played golf took as many FTO days as they wanted. Sales bunch of folks living the dream working a 9-5.

Can’t wait to watch more layoffs come in that toxic environment.

As someone else here said - Definite blessing in disguise, for me.

My team was hiding how burnt out they all were - from all the extra Night + Weekend hours they were putting in.

It was like we were all running ragged, but just to stay in place.

What is the actual savings if it takes 4 months to hire and 12 months to train? What expense will it have on our customer timelines and timelines for any kind of system changes or enhancements?

“you are obviously smoking something. Try our sales jobs a week. Yes, sales has some perks…but it’s stressful and you are never really off the clock. I’ve had conference calls from every single vacation I EVER had…and had to cut short some as well because of needing to hand hold launches. So stop with the insane notion of 9-5.”

We found our smoker. Please. I work with most of you. The statement should have started and ended with perks. Around the clock my a-s. Joke of the day - TU sales

sales reps would be less toxic if you actually did your jobs. Sales reps don’t want to deal with you either…

Experian and Equifax are hiring so it can’t really just be because of sales.

Not defending the RIF. But sales acts like that because they’re the ones who generate revenue for the org. Go in to sales if you want that lifestyle.

No one would have a job without sales.

Haha. Couldn’t be more right about sales team.

Bring back Jim Pe-k and Mohit that’s when that company actually cared about its employees. Transunion is toxic work environment. Be happy if you’re gone. Susan, Venkat and Chris Cartwright will be gone soon and other leadership. It’s happened before - offshore US jobs and customers will complain they can’t understand Indian. Thank you come again.

Sound very naive, why would anyone in 2023 be loyal and do more than the bare minimum for any company ???

I’ve come to realize that my RIF was a blessing in disguise. I don’t want to stay at a company that doesn’t value my hard work and makes layoff decisions blindly.
