Thread regarding Commscope Inc. layoffs

Why worry about layoffs?

Be honest with yourselves. None of us are happy here. It's been a long time since CommScope was a good place to work. At this point, I'd welcome being laid off with open arms. If you are honest with yourself, you'll realize that right now, layoffs represent an opportunity to get out of a cr-ppy situation.

People are hanging about waiting and hoping for layoff so get paid out. So what is left now is a workforce who have largely run out of steam and cannot be bothered anymore. What a place to be!

What could happen is loads more go at once with not the payout they hoping for, then are all scrambling about trying to find jobs but some will end up in competition with each other for the same jobs.

You think there will be a severance package? After the debt vultures pick it over, making payroll might be difficult.

I'm just waiting to see what the latest Pulse survey results are.
Judging from Mingle's jingle in the last town hall - I'm betting that the vast majority of the staff are insanely happy with their work life balance and the very competitive compensation and benefits that Commscope offers !!!

As someone who left Commscope recently, why wait? Find a new gig. Get a pay raise. Stop staying in an cr-ppy environment. The best time to look for a job is when you have a job already. Don't settle for not being in control of your life.

The original poster is only saying what majority are feeling. I always thought ..why not offer voluntary redundancy ? But CS Want to wear people down into leaving.why would employees who shown years of loyalty not get some payback.they didn't cause the debt ?? So why expect them to walk with noting to show especially since now doing multiple teams jobs which is definately what is happening on the ground at present

You’re dead weight dude. People like you sitting at home waiting for a long paid vacation or retirement jumpstart. We know you loaf. Get to the office and earn your 40 hours of pay. Or get out.
