Layoffs in coming weeks

What's going on with layoffs? Will there be more in the coming days/weeks?

JPO (Partner Org) has been cut by ~1/3, alliances teams (the ATOSes, Accentures of this world) close to none existing anymore. And those are the big partners that focus more or less purely on Enterprise (wait.... was it not our key strategy?). No master plan, no strategy anymore.

Bay Area salaries are too high. Rents are high, as well as house prices. Hence the cycle of layoff every few quarters and outsource jobs to Eastern Europe or Asia.

Manufacturing got decimated in USA in 90s, thousands of factories shut down and shifted to Asia.

Same thing is going on with Software and tech companies now. Hope someone can do something about this.

Get out of this crazy company. There are so many better companies to work for. For 10 years this hire then fire nonsense has been on going every year. It won’t change

6/12 was across all functions, 100 people in the SVL office. 19 in marketing. Very good people.

It was surprising since we all thought the early October global ~400 people had wrapped up the sad moments of 2023, but no.

The layoff yesterday seems to have been mostly marketing folks, even high level managers.
