Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Why no California WARN notice?

Why is there no VMW/AVGO notice(s) filed yet? Are we still more than 60 days out from the first severance separation dates to kick in?

They did file a notice on 11/27, but California didn’t put it up online.

Its delayed. So far as of today it has notices with notice dates up to 6th Nov. So I think it is updating slowly. Also companies send notice info to EDD lot later than actual notice date. Some of the companies have a big lag in Notice Date and Received Date. I think they are waiting for the results to come out today to send out the notice info ... trying to control the narrative I suppose.

Wouldn't WARN only come into play IF there WOULDN'T be any severance ? I thought severance is what they use to 'buy' themselves out of stuff like that. I am not in the US so I only compare it with previous layoffs at vmware ...
