All I’m saying is VMware e’ees have more talent. You know that. BC e’ees can only do spreadsheets…..Anyone can make money in a rising market…This deal changes everything…..and we’re all watching :)
He also may not be honest about his reasons for doing something. He says:
You must be in the office so you can collaborate with your co-workers.
But, you don't need to be in the same office as the co-workers?
You clearly didn't listen to his Coffee Talk -- he was pretty clear about why he wants people back in the office, and it's not _really_ that. I'm not going to repeat what he said, but you should actually go listne.
VMware talent don’t need to resign
Lol talent. Seriously, who talks like this. You guys have been smelling your own farts for too long.
You must be in the office so you can collaborate with your co-workers.
Your leaving our the the other reasons like home distractions (fixing the fence, family), working in front of the tv in pajamas.
You may not like the message but you know he's not bs'ing you or making excuses on
why things are the way that they are.

WTF!?
That makes no sense at all.
He's not an all-correct business god.
GO
VMware talent don’t need to resign to this BS
You should be doing leet code now to prepare in case you need to find another job.
There will be layoffs and you should be ready for the BS interview questions if you are.
Broadcom is a good employer and you will make a lot of money if you stay. Every other part of your job will stay the same (apart from wfh).
You need to decide if you want to preemptively jump ship or stay with a chance of layoff. The threat of layoffs will be around for two years. After that, is not a problem unless your product does not do well.
Don't know what you mean by succession plan. BCM is a will run company. Every qtr Hock will show you how profitable every franchise is. He's very transparent as you saw. You may not like the message but you know he's not bs'ing you or making excuses on why things are the way that they are.
