Epic bait & switch - their criteria for hiring is pretty high. I have immediate family members working at that Epic, Yes, they work you hard but also provides amenities to entice you to stay. Let’s focus on the OP the message is how their CEO embraced keeping the call center in the USA soil. At our org. even the highly skilled technology resource is being outsourced/offshored.
It’s not easy to land a job at Epic- they believe in sustainability.
Epic has been recruiting hard, placing ads with the appearance of actually being in cities they aren't. Once you get into the ad itself, it essentially states "surprise, this position isn't in this city but Milwaukee, WI." Then the recruiter will follow up making sure you know it's in Milwaukee, WI, before going further. So to address your statement, I am not the only one that doesn't want to move to liberalized, cold-arsed Milwaukee. Otherwise, HR wouldn't have to bait and switch with the ads. If these roles were remote, they wouldn't have trouble filling them. Epic isn't the only employer in the US. Shocking, I know.
Who wants to live in Wisconsin? Ask yourself? Who wants to work in an org that has unethical business practices and constant RIFs? Other orgs also have RIFs but they are ethical enough to adhere to WARN act.
