Today the Denver Car Department was notified that all employees no longer have jobs. Transportation crews and utility employees will be doing all inbound and outbound inspections. Traveling Car Inspectors will most likely be doing the bad order repairs. Mechanical jobs aren't safe at small points as similar cuts will happen in the near future.

Don't make the mistake of transferring to North Platte. You'll be sorry. There is NO housing available. Then you'll move and in a few months, get laid off, then what are you going to do? North Platte is a dead end town.
Go to North Platte? To do what move your whole family and get laid off there? What a great company to work for.
I was told all but 1 was cut and he will be next week. 4 have the choice to transfer to North Platte.
We are all safe for 2023. No one got axed. Car loadings are higher than Jimmy Hendrix. Now come 2024, then every thing might change.
It sure seems like the whole department. There going to do it all over the system. I know from what I’ve been fixing cars a messed up half of the brakes don’t work, cushions and end sills blown out.
A whole department? How many employees? Was it over 50?
Why are they still on the people sheets?
That’s going to be the normal no Carman anywhere just conductors and utility men
I heard 13-14 carmen and their manager.
I'm sure the share holders are happy
When the last day?
Are you serious? What’s wrong with this sh---y company. And how many jobs are gone?
Confirmed! I work in Denver gone, gone
After talking with someone who used to be a Carman in Denver, they in fact confirmed that the Denver Car Department doesn't exist anymore.
Not true. Denver Carman confirmed no car guys were furloughed today at 7:30. I don’t know why people on here just want to troll and don’t expect anyone to do even 5 seconds of research to confirm. Not today satan
