If there was a product to sell, these Netscaler sales people would still be there. Can sell cr-p only so many ways?

Through all the turmoil I stayed...over the last few years....still hanging on to the old Citrix ...it's been dead and gone but I didn't want to believe it. Laid off right before the Holidays but my severance is a fraction of what it would have been under the Citrix severance plan that just expired.....

The crazy girlfriend analogy….it’s like my buddy (ok, maybe I’m talking about myself) who had the co-dependent girlfriend. (Psychology major of course, because that’s what all the crazy chicks go to school for …and yet never seem to fix themselves)….He thought she loved him because she played the part well, despite all the jealousy of everybody and everything - red flags, but the moment he decided to take a break, she was in another guys bed. That guy didn’t want her crazy a-s so she crawls back saying she loves only him. He takes her back, little by little she isolates him, forces her will, completely controls the man. He changes her life for the better over the years and the moment she has what she thinks is a better opportunity from a guy at work, she drops him like a hot potato. Co- dependency is not love and crazy is not se-y. Working for a corporation is not a joint commitment or a guarantee you’ll be appreciated despite being excellent and helping to make them successful. They will pay you off to make numbers, then ask you to come back because “you’re important” and they “didn’t want to lay you off in the first place”. Then you’ll do crazy things like take experimental vaccines to keep them happy, relocate only to have to relocate again, they’ll promise bonuses because your numbers are so high…only to dump you again for a guy named TK and right before the Holidays no less. Moral of the story - Find a sane and non-codependent woman (not someone in mental health because 100% of them are nuts - do the research online, you’ll see) and look at your workplace as a temporary source of income and not a trusted ally.

MANY people from Netscaler were impacted and more cuts are coming to Citrix and Tibco business unit employees. Love how they do this right before Christmas and right after the severance package was reduced. Former Citrix is a skeleton with little rotting meat left on the bone.

At least 2 GA based reps gone that covered accounts in the southeast. Definitely thinned out the herd in the southeast. Not sure if that also affected presales also. Ouch. Who's actually left selling anything direct there? I know it's been tough, but DANG! We all knew this was gonna happen though - and glad many of us either left before the first culling or were part of it.
