You rarely meet someone so in love with the sound of their own voice

Another example of the Peter Principle in action. She will morph like a chameleon and impress with the multi-cloud ppt slide she's been using since I joined the company. Big hat, no cattle

Despite Madam decicion, Market really does not like Tanzu and therefore soon it will be scraped.

because of the money, not her values.

Values was the other company. This one doesn't even pretend to have them.

the only think she is interested in is herself

Her honesty is simply agreeing to Hock’s playbook. So basically selling her soul for some higher level ceo like experience and a huge payday. Not a bad deal, not my definition of honesty.

I’m sure she honestly feels that 5 day RTO is total BS, but yet she just goes along with it - because of the money, not her values.

She is actual dishonest to herself, let alone dishonest to us. Shame.

"I also loved that she said we will NEVER EVER go above 2800 employees. Very motivational, finger on the pulse of tech right there. "

People here have been complaining about lack of honesty, then you finally get some from Purnima and you complain about that?

Tanzu is deader than a doornail. Get over it.

Tanzu is toast.

There is no ability to generate new products or revenue, just polish up one or two products that make money and retain about 200 people to keep them afloat.

That means layoffs of about 2600 people and selling off products to PE firms and other fools.

I also loved that she said we will NEVER EVER go above 2800 employees. Very motivational, finger on the pulse of tech right there.

No major changes in VMware leadership, it’s the same leaders that have been looking at their belly button lint all these years.

Seems to me like she in enjoying taking her real time lessons at being a CEO with revenue responsibility. It will look good at her next job in 6 months and she will get 2 vesting periods to give her some nice wealth. Not Magoo money, but decent.

Summarize? I heard should sounded like Mini-Hock. Ahmar's wasn't bad. Basically said we are in control of our own destiny outside of corporate policies that we must all adhere to (travel, RTO, etc).
