Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

Predictions based on recent announcement

Looks like they are splitting up sides again

What do we think is going to happen? Will they eat each other?

For those still employed at AUSA I hope you have an exit strategy, if you don’t have one it would be wise to start working on one today. For the common employee there will be no more VRP’s/severance packages paid out at 3 weeks for every completed year of service. Even if it were offered I do not believe this company will not be in business long enough to fulfill that obligation, and any other company that might take over the AUSA properties does not have to honor those severance agreements. As everyone in the industry knows AUSA is on life support and has been for sometime now so going into 2024 you need to be looking out for you and your families best interest because those that are still here when it all collapses will be out on the street without a job.

$1.88. See if the trend continues tomorrow. Every penny is a significant loss at this point.

This was predicted a long time ago think of it as a Ponzi then you will realize their true intentions, they takeover a profitable company and run it to the ground and leverage it to the max, until the money that is coming in cannot support it embezzle and they leave call it what it is, no one is going to fearless reinvent this company

Exactly, PD is fine with hiring what no one else wants. $hit leadership begets $hit leadership. It’s nothing more than one big club these people belong to and they move from one company to the next for their entire career. And none of them with enough talent to actually accomplish anything other than running a company into the ground. This company will be a memory in less than two years.

Most of them when you look at their LinkedIn have been laid off before. Some a few times. Nothing wrong with being laid off it happens but these executives were culled before it’ll happen again

who would ever want to come here at this time unless they were getting millions

What would make someone leave such a high level position at a successful company to work for Altice. Somethings not adding up. Did PD throw a bunch of money their way or was their time up where they were?

I don’t know if Charter or any other cable operator would want the Altice properties at this point. They have been driven into the ground to the point Charter may view Altice properties as being a liability they do not want to take on.

Like someone commented earlier in this thread, just look at the track record of the people in Sr Executive positions of this company. None of them have anything they can point to that has been a success in the 10, 15 or 20 years they have all floated around in the executive bubble. There is a great opportunity for someone with a backbone to actually save this company but that is not their goal. They are too focused on planning what their next move should be with PD in order to make sure they get their multi million dollar severance once the clock has run out on their time here, and that clock is ticking faster and faster.

Like john malone said in the interview..." he's toast"
And " the only thing he'll keep is Sotheby's because he owns that personally"

They are 60 billion in debt. They will just continue to chop heads and replace them with management who dont have a clue and will continue to make stupid decisions and blame it on in house or contractors. Many in house leave for contractors cause they get treated better over there.
PD is too co--y to admit he doesnt have an escape plan and that the ship is going down in flames. His best bet is to strike a partnership with charter

The way this business has been run for the past 7.5 years is tragic and has damaged not only the good name of the company but has damaged its employees and customers. The assessments below of the new individuals joining the company as not knowing how to run a business, lacking in skills, etc. is juvenile and silly. The authors don’t have the experience or backgrounds to make such a statement. Rather than disparaging people you barely know, if at all, maybe take a moment and consider that with all of the problems you’ve experienced here in the past 7.5 years…you’re still here. You have no control over many of the factors that are occurring at Altice but you do over whether you stay or go.

No matter what the clowns do it’s going to turn to $hit. None of them have the skills it takes to successfully run a business. Just look at their track record.
