Thread regarding VMware layoffs

I would take a 50% cut in TC in a heartbeat to not RTO

Instead, I will do the bare minimum, come in whenever I feel like it, and let my RSUs vest until I get let go with severance.

Lol, just lol at Hock. If you wanted to penny pinch so badly there was an easier way.

They will fire you without any severance, but PIP? This is not VMw style, coasters here don't survive longer than 3 months.

Everyone's situation is different. I'm later in career, declined the offer. This is an opportunity to make some $$$. The price is working for and with a bunch of a--holes, it seems. Good luck. Been there done that

At Broadcom your manager will be quick to fire your a-s on a performance review before your RSU’s are anywhere near done vesting lol.

VMware managers are nice, They will need intense training to be a--hole to fire

If they feel your putting in bare minimum and are coming in whenever you feel like lol. Broadcom is not stupid. Dont bring your VMware habits over to Broadcom. It will bite you back in the a-s.
