Tanzu is likely to slowly implode. It was always a long shot and it will not survive a BC profit centered management model.

Should be quick, the amount of revenue and profit, no matter how lean you make it, is so low. What Tanzu brings in is a rounding error in other Broadcom BUs

VMware Tanzu is a woke, good ole boys club that full of incompetant Pivotal people who have sat fat d-mb and happy because there managers protected "the Pivotal way". Do you know that other high tech companies have no interest in hiring these engineers because everyone knows they are not qualified. I remember these two female designers (from Pivotal, and joined Tanzu services and solutions). We had to sit in these awful Agile meetings listening these inadequate designers who really didn't have a clue as to how things worked. Senior engineers had to bow down to these women because otherwise they would cry (in the meetings and outside to their managers) and we would get in trouble. They had to redo their project three times. Broadcom doesn't deserve you. You did this to yourselves. I should be sad for you, but I'm not.
I was at Computer Associates and CA-Technologies when it was taken over by Broadcom
in 2018. You could call it karma for the way Computer Associates destroyed smaller
companies over the years when they bought them out. In other words, from my point of view, it was a misery. I have since left the East Coast and the high-tech world. I am the owner/manager of a hotel in Northern California's wine country. I couldn't be happier. Expand your possibilities.

Scrambling to figure out how to make money. Though that is a tough ask as the folks that remain are the same as before and have shown how unqualified they are for the task at hand.
It’s a slow death indeed, though some will get some good $ along the way down the drain before Hock pulls the plug.

From the channel side (left before the chaos and am at a large VMW partner) - the amount of Tanzu engagements and opps we have been seeing is a small fraction of our VMW business. Number of customers we have actually using Tanzu today is minuscule.
Let someone from tanzoo engineering explain that you are too stupid to appreciate the beauty which is Tanzoo. That is the cherry on top.
as a customer I feel Tanzu is a complicated product needs lots of additional components deployed to let it perform its work.
we love Rancher and Openshift than Tanzu as those are much easier to deploy and manageable.

Raw k8s on vsphere isn’t in the Tanzu division. Some of Tanzu’s products are science projects in disguise built on top of k8s, which has had basically zero traction with customers for the past several years. Don’t expect a turnaround there, especially with the same people in charge.
It will just take a little time to see all the red in the balance sheet for Hock to pull the plug.
Tanzu is a clusterfûck of products some related to k8s (some “value” on top of raw k8s) and the ton of animals Maritz collected over the years including the Pivotal consulting cult.
The animals will escape from the Tanzoo soon enough and there will be one less division. This division never made money and simply never will. Dead man walking.
