Colleagues, Our sales plan for December is monumental, a huge increase over LY. However, our stock levels are deplorable in the gift giving FOBs. In men's, all the gate leg tables and icon tables of sweaters and wovens have been removed. Polo and Lauren have been sold or stolen. We have empty vendor fixtures. We own 12 cashmere sweaters! The handbag department is very sparse, sleepwear is nonexistent, and home store has melted. We are a 50 million dollar door that looks like December 28th. We do have toys, and "on 34th." What is the game plan? Who missed the mark? Making room for swim wear??

The store were I working. Oct to November were 5 trucks a week. Stockrooms were getting packed quickly. Now we are empty out the stockrooms with all the sweaters we have. December is 2 trucks a week and it’s all resort wear. Pretty much all the floors are well stocked
No trucks, depleted stock=take over.......
We have always gotten 2-3 trucks a week in december as long as I've been there. Two years ago we were getting swamped all season right up till xmas week. This year we've been getting 1 truck a week on average for a month now. Some areas of store look depleted and holiday ikon displays quickly running out but we're not too bad.......yet.
wonder if this is some company strategy to make inventory easier since most customers buy online nowadays..........
Same. Certain things aren't moving like family sweaters and the mom/daughter sequin dresses. We're close to out on 39.99 cashmere. HB is still fine. Karen Scott picked over. Tommy not moving. Lots of 34th.
Well, pretty much the company invested a good portion of dollars to launching ON 34TH. It will happen again next year in 2nd quarter with the launch of either the Men's , Kid's or Home brands. No names given of all the newness but it is coming. Just think of it as "growing pains".
It doesn’t help that fulfillment takes a huge CHUNK daily of merchandise to fulfill “orders” which the store can’t register as “sales”…
It seems like online customers are more important than in person, face to face… contact.
customer interaction been removing tables right and left..
Don't forget cutting hours in December because you're incapable of watching your beauty associates eat up a ton of OT.
We are in the same shape. Customers were complaining even before Black Friday that we don't have alot of stock in anything . We have no sleepwear, robes, decent handbags. We have nicer handbags in Backstage. When do we get rid of the THE BIG GUY not soon enough for me.
Don’t worry. You will be getting 5-6 trailers a week in Dec
