Thread regarding TransUnion layoffs

The lesson here is mergers are the devil

Any time there is a merger this happens. While I've avoided RIFs during previous mergers, I got su-ked up into this one.

The 2 companies NEVER have similar cultures despite what the CEO says. And 99.99999% of the time mass layoffs always follow once the deal is closed.

The lesson here is if you find another job and that company does a merger, you should immediately start looking elsewhere.

Here's some definitions I found in my corporate-speak dictionary relating to mergers:

synergies: layoffs
transformation: layoffs
resource efficiency: layoffs
collaboration: secretly train your replacement.

Feel free to add definitions. The corporate-speak dictionary can be quite lengthy.

Hope this helps! ;)
