Do we not give out gift boxes anymore, those ones that are brown and say Macy's across the front? Our store never got any this year

Again, feel like someone screwed up ordering at your store. We still have 2 pallets of gift boxes from last year we couldn't give away. And so far this season we've gotten in another 4-5 pallets that are going slowly despite the associates pushing them to customers.
Wow, someone is falling down on the job. We just got MORE gift boxes
You can't cut back on register tape. Whoever is doing your ordering is at fault on that one.

Ran out of bags for Black Friday??? That's just inexperienced/poor management!!! Bag cartons are inventoried every month and are replenished. Experienced management would have forseen the needs and ordered additional ahead of time.
Each store had a certain amount of boxes alotted to them for the year. Additional boxes would have needed to be purchased by the store using it's own budget. Many locations held onto there boxes during the year and only hand out boxes during the Holiday shopping season.
Our store ran out of bags for Black Friday and we used plain white bags that we got at a wholesale club. We are cutting back on everything and had to borrow register tape from another store. Haven't seen any gift boxes this year.
