And for Sycamore to take us public or sell. Enough is enough. While the wealthy king sits on his throne, the kingdom is burning. We need new leadership in the form of stock holders and a board. I still believe in the people of this place and the idea. I don’t believe in SLT or the CEO.

Sycamore will never ditch JL or his mini me JH. The strategy is to enrich the SLT and Sycamore and everyone on else is just a pawn in their game.
These threads make me laugh at night with a drink in my hand. All are correct. First off, Sycamore does not care about about Staples, it cares about the money that we give them above market. It is like legalized loan sharking. Real estate over market value and so on. The ship is sinking as we have NOTHING that is a differentiator from the competition. He said it best this needs to work or Amazon will take over. Wake up, they already control it. We can't compete and Sycamore does not want to compete. We have been going downhill since they took over. They put people in positions with no experience so they control the narrative, see what I did there. I think it best to vent and not let it get to you, it is not worth it. Do what you have to do. LOOK...... It may take some time.
Totally agree.. I have worked at 5 Cos before Staples.. Never seen a worse, self centered, utterly Useless leader like JL. He compensates for lack of ability with Brashness and bullying. Look at how he handles and questions/demeans business leaders ( almost insulting in his approach). He doesn't grasp the fact that denigrating/ insulting his direct reports openly in front of the company doesn't inspire anybody.
Pretty sure no one in the Org likes his leadership approach. Some SLT members show it in their face ( observe them during the company wide broadcasts and in private meetings) on what an incompetent leader they got.
I some times feel bad at the depravity of leadership and lack of inspiration when he talks in those meetings as if that his bully pulpit.
JL- if you are reading this, please realize that you are a big blot on this once awesome company. Hope some one from sycamore reads this and realizes the damage you've done here.
100%. This guy has been a nightmare from day 1 and honestly the HR head too. Sandy knew what was doing and now SLT is group of clowns and run like headless chickens when something happens. Restructuring every now and then when the actual problem is they themselves.
This…finally someone says it. If anyone in lower level leadership was this bad at their job they would have been fired years ago. We are rudderless with this leadership and Sycamore at the helm.
