Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

Bye Bye from Brent Avenue

Today is our last day as part of Baker Hughes, having been sold off. In the 4years since bakers took over from GE we have endured 3 rounds of redundancies, an attempt to cut shift allowance by 50%, the first ever strike at the plant in 40 yr and being fired and rehired on an inferior contract. We have also witnessed what a vile, greedy, arrogant and lying bunch of individuals the management are. Things look promising under the new owners and everyone has a positive outlook for the future.
Wishing everyone still with bakers at the remainder of the COE the best of luck for the future, you will need it.

HR were not great either very aggressive like it was their big chance to show how “hard” they were.
