Is this an RIF meeting? A meeting to talk about the changes going on? The meeting language seems different from what others have posted and just says ‘Please hold this time for an important business update. Meeting details to follow.’

I think some meetings are for the layoffs and others are for letting the remaining folks know the impact. Some members of my team have a meeting at 11am pst and some for 11:30am pst. We all got an invite , so why 2 different times. I guess there might be 2 different messages.
Weird. Some people got meetings with the same person at the same time , two distinct meetings. Super weird. Are they intending to play recordings? WTF

The contract worker that sent the email on behalf the SVP for the 9am PST meeting is part of Venkat's org tree. So no HR. Not sure whats that about. The execution of this is such a sh-t show. Neustar can't even get the layoffs right.
I'm wondering if its a meeting to let us know we need to secure our laptops and ship it back within a certain time frame. That we may be prosecuted for leaking any customer or company data.
We got the same invite. 15min call at 9am ET. They’re gonna tell us the news in bulk.
I think with this subject line forwarded by a contractor (HR department I guess) seems to be temporary worker too until this sh-t show is done. I have googled the persons name for LinkedIn profile who forwarded the invite with svp, belongs to HR services. So a meeting with HR and your 3 level manager is a layoff meeting
My Neustar mid-manager is too lazy to even send out the email him self. Who-ever sent the email on his-behalf is also a contractor. Guess they're temp too after this sh-t-show is all over.
The email doesn't even include an invite with Zoom/Teams links; just an email that another invite will be coming. Guess they're really scraping bottom of the barrel for cheap with GCC contractor hires.

When they randomly scheduled mine in October, it was my direct manager, no HR and was title Business Updates.
Mine was scheduled just with my SVP and the originator was someone from a different team that isn’t HR, or even HR adjacent. Will find out either way tomorrow. Best of luck everyone!

I got the same but it says “optional” when i expand on my calendar. I’m not attaching false hopes but this makes me even more confused. Do you also see the same?
I believe it is for the people being laid off but we will be given our last of work. Not an immediate lay off.
The management is so pathetic. Are we getting laid off or just moving teams? The email by chris states vague info.
I don’t have HR copied in my email. It jus says HOLD- Business Updates.
