Thread regarding Cengage layoffs

Do you still like your job at Cengage?

I despise everything about the company. My job, my manager, the backstabbing people I work with, the political culture, everything. I know I can't be the only one who feels this way. Cengage has changed so much in the last few years that it's unrecognizable. I can't wait to leave.

Inside Sales will be the only department left thanks to Cheri standing up for us. She saved us several times. So I am not sweating March or any other month.

Oh. Just give it 8 to 10 months. all the ideas and plans we are currently making will crash and burn, just like every other idea/strategy. If you stop making it all about yourself and listen closely. ,,, upper, middle lower mgt are saying same thing, their positions are uncertain too.

Cengage is Top heavy …. Layoffs let’s go!

people who are happy at cengage are simple-minded hicks and hillbil--es and the bootlickers who love them. those 2 identities overlap, obviously... No one with experience at a publishing company can stomach this place

You are just upset because there is a party going on everyday in Insides Sales and you were not invited. I hear these losers talking about toxic this and toxic that, let loose and have some fun it’s not hard. If you can’t well, some people don’t fit in.

They should start by examining the bullying behavior exhibited by upper and middle management. Their behavior toward certain team members, blatant display of indifference, snide comments, backhanded compliments, and the application of different rules for different people is gross. The toxicity of the work environment stems from them playing favorites, gaslighting, and promoting individuals without adhering to the established guidelines they created. It will be only addressed superficially in a team meeting. It will be upper management asking us, "What did you do to create this environment?" "How can you fix it?"
