After watching HT talk for over an hour at an all-hands, I can now confirm this is not the place where I want to keep my career growing.

Careers die in broadcom with the business they buy. Euc are getting the better deal. Being sold off.

All of your risk taking innovation is mostly bullsh-t. VMware’s core revenues probably com from core technologies developed 15 years ago.
Innovation is for su-kers. Broadcom just wants the meat and potatoes.
He doesn't make risk-taking investments outside the fields where Broadcom is already leading. That means, he will invest a lot and take risks only in the fields where he is already leading. So, innovation only comes at the top, not sideways.
What did it for you? RTO, the clear strategy to move away from any sort of risk-taking innovation, or the German army reference?

100% agree. There was almost nothing from his talk that I felt inspired by. I’m sure his style works for some people but definitely not for me
