RTO even if I am remote employee?

Offer stipulated location as remote-state. Office nearest is just shy of miles or just over 50 miles depending on highway I take.

Still need to go in?

FFS, what did your offer letter classify you as? If remote, you get to WFH; if not, buckle up, buttercup. It’s simple.

Dream job! Travel 3hrs a day to sit in an office where I don’t have any colleagues to work with in person!

Hock will trim 20k employees in no time.

Imma get the F out of here.

I work primarily with partners on a different continent. I was expected to make a brutal hour + commute each way so I could attend Zoom / Teams meetings in an office full of people totally unrelated to my role? I don't think so. The only route from my home to the closest Broadcom office is constantly plagued with delays that last hours. THAT was the deal-ki-ler for me. And since I wasn't given the name of a manager with whom to negotiate (let alone a job description) I could not accept the offer. If I had been interviewing with another company from scratch, I would never have accepted with those parameters.

I only work with customers either on site or remote on their systems. I won’t be going to an office to work. I’ll quit before that happens.

Policy is within a 50 mile radius. Your commute might be 50 miles or more but your house is actually a lot less than 50 miles so you would be required to work in the office

No work WFH. That’s is only for people with an actual office location listed on their offer.
