laying off just weeks short of 10 work anniversary saves money I guess , so much for loyalty.

Regardless of how other blue and white collar industries have handled lay offs, the level of trauma Cartwright and Muigai KNOWINGLY injected across the organization is maniacal and should make headlines. Neither of them should EVER be in a power position after they leave TU. The board is also responsible for the leadership cancer. Sell the goddam place already and GTFO before you ruin the country even more.
Not sure it's really any different in any other company. I think blue collar/manufacturing workers figured this out a while ago and organized to protect themselves from being treated like the furniture or just "resources" to be managed. Sadly, white collar/tech industries (and workers) are rejecting organizing attempts. Maybe as us boomers retire out the new generations will be more open to the idea.
