Thread regarding VMware layoffs

E-trade has stolen our money

I still see 0$. No money. No avago stocks.

Every other broker seems to have paid everything days ago, everyone has had the time to sell off this overevaluated avago stocks except us... What we can do?

Hi there! Yeah no one was stealing but when you’re supposed to get your money much earlier and other brokers had deposited last friday or monday, people have right to get anxious especially since there was no communication. Especially for those who wanted to sell quick. So you could be calm but if others couldn’t, don’t blame them

Calm down. Your money has not been stolen. It's been just two business days. These things have a process and take time. If it had been two weeks, then maybe you have a reason for this elevated blood pressure. But, there is currently no reason for it.

Hi, I'm back. Your stocks have been deposited.

Next time hold your breeches and take a deep breath. Pet a dog, take a walk, touch grass. There is no "Man" stealing your money. There is just patience.

There was a doc that said 2-3 weeks before the new stock would show up.

So, yeah, calm down.

I had ESPP shares in the etrade stock plan account, the cash portion was sorted out (deposited to my individual account), but the stock portion is still AWOL as well. Anyone already lucky enough to get answered when calling?

Yup - I had half and half ESPP stock in an individual account and vested RSUs in an employer account - I think the ESPP ones have already been sorted, though I don't understand how I only got 2 AVGO shares and 20K cash for them. Contents of Employer account are still AWOL.

what if you are an ex employee (i.e left over a year ago) do the AVGO stocks just appear in Etrade ?

Micheal Dell has to have a few days to dump his first.

Today is the 4th business day (Friday, Monday, Tuesday). And I concur with OP. if other brokerages already have sorted things out, why hasn’t etrade? It cost us money if the shares fall.

And about moving to fidelity, how can everything moved there for non or former employees who don’t have corporate access? Doesn’t make sense. I think only unvested shares are being moved

AVGO shares are no where to be seen on etrade nor fidelity from the conversion.

Did Dell get his shares yet?

Little guys get screwed again.

You can find your cash in E*trade by going to accounts -> portfolios
Then go to the bottom and find other holdings. In there is a cash section where all the cash payout is.
I think all shares will be moved to fidelity?

Where did you find this info? In the slack channel they are saying that this is true for unvested RSU, but for the already converted one and the cash of the transaction this should be handled by e-trade which is having issues.

hey no worries, the e-trade stocks are getting migrated to BRCM's trading vendor site. in next 20 days all your money will be there as brcm stocks.
