I could tell my 3-level up manager was not happy reading his script. The HR lady was also nice and answered all my questions. It was obvious that they were not involved in the decision-making process. Remember, they are just the messengers, not the source.

HR does not have empathy. You can’t be in HR and be empathetic toward employees. They chose their profession and empathy ain’t a requirement.
Isn't the 3 level up manager is SVP or VP? So you meant to say your direct manager and director handpicked you to get fired and SVP or VP just communicated the message? I don't think so. They don't have a courage to talk face to face openly but just reads scripts as one way communication disabling you to talk or chat is disgusting! Fu--ing 0 leadership qualities. I have seen 0 empathy from my direct manager and VP, these are the guys should be in that call not some NSR fella who knows nothing about your work
