Officials at Boeing have confirmed that the company is furloughing 80 union employees at the Ridley plant in December, the second layoff this year with more expected in 2024.

After losing the next generation helicopter program, they’re guaranteed to win the scout program, which is so much smaller program, but it should save some jobs. The government wants to preserve the industrial base for future competitions. It’s just gonna be a much smaller blueprint than before.

Kinda surprised Boeing can sell V22s given how unsafe they are and how many deaths they have caused. Of course, the same can be said of 737Max.
