We had this meeting with our manager's manager. He was candid and straight to the point, without talking points or script. He did not promise no further cuts, but honestly admitted, nobody in mid-tier leadership would know or even if they know they might not acknowledge about futher cuts.
I wish CC and VA were 10% this mature and emphathatic than our skip manager, it would be lot better. I wish those ah*s had a manager like this in their career to watch and learn how to deliver, than simply reading from an ipad. While I stay here I would watch and learn from this guy and hope he would be there to help us.
I’m a manager. I was completely in the dark until my team members received the meeting invite. My team of 7 was reduced to a team of 3. The rest of us are worried about how we are going to get everything done since we were overloaded already. I wish I had been chosen instead of them. They are good people and hard workers. I feel like they are keeping me around just long enough for me to train my offshore replacement.
