Thread regarding VMware layoffs

All the articles are about 184 people laid off from Broomfield

I guess the rest of us don't matter. Or Broadcom is really good at hiding the scope of layoffs it performs. Either way, it su-ks. I know it wouldn't have changed anything, but still.

There was a WARN notice filed in Georgia for 217 people in this first round, with staggered separation dates. In Atlanta, the first "date of separation" will occur on Jan. 26, followed by Feb. 2, March 1, April 26 and May 24. (from Channel Futures article yesterday)

Broomfield is in the news because Colorado has a WARN act in place. The real question here is why hasn’t a WARN notice been filed for California. At least I haven’t seen one yet.

Unlikely to get any real numbers as it will take rounds of cuts which started even last year and until probably the end of Day1 where all transitional offers expire globally.. so think about that total
