Any idea what happened to the IT folks at VMW and whether the CIO & his leadership team transitioned to BC?

Can attest to the garbage comment. ZM CIO is such a petty micromanager who has gotten his VMW cronies and just effed up the work environment. Just another me me me.
The AVGO onboarding process has given me a new appreciation of Workspace One. Holy cr-p was a mess. These people are living in the 2000s..
Put it this way....AVGO IT is a flag ship of efficiency/low cost within a super efficient company
I feel bad for you folks losing your jobs, but IT has been bloated for a long time.
VMware has been running roughly a 1 to 12ish, IT to employee ratio, for the last several years. HR has been running a 1 to 50ish ratio.
To say VMware was inefficiently operated is an understatement.
There will be a transition period to absorb and onboard VMware IT into Broadcom’s datacenters and systems. After that most in-house VMware IT people will probably get cut.
Based on AVGO history, expect to see deep cuts in internal IT support.
It's a huge VMW operating expense that has a negative impact on profit.
IT is minimum in BC. Very thin. Like 1-2 per BU.
So expect max 8 people remained
There is no such thing as BCM IT. Everything is outsourced, or you do it yourself through the ticketing system. You need a PC, Laptop, Server, Switch, Cable you buy it on your corporate card then expense it.
Garbage is a gross understatement.
All the IT garbage from here went to Zoom.
