I was let go like many yesterday. End date Jan 26th. Do we need to go through the migration? Do we need a broadcom email for comunications before we leave?

“Seriously, we're an enterprise software company and having these issues made public is embarrassing beyond belief.“
Don’t worry the journalists are all over this site and writing articles. I’ve seen 3 already that bash the acquisition.
I'm thinking that it would be helpful for AVGO IT org and HR org to publish an internal place for these questions to be answered and resolved. Seriously, we're an enterprise software company and having these issues made public is embarrassing beyond belief.
I was locked out of VMware resources on my laptop. Can't authenticate. No access to VPN. No access to email or internal web. Did this happen to anyone else.
so of the laptops/Mac that have a missing policy or two for forced to disconnect for VPN.
Try to launch workspace intelligent and see what is missing, usually like antivirus/encryption and such, though not connected to VPN you should be able to apply the policy and the install the software or get the right config, once that's taken care of try and get the PAN certificates, you should be able to connect to VPN.
Broadcom will send to your personal email. I got and email from them today about the WARN notice and benefits.
People have started loosing access to Laptops today. Only Slack is working for most of them. They can still log into the Broadcom portal using VMW email from their personal computers. So I think that access to portal will continue. Some of us also got email about how to enroll in BC benefits in mid Dec for 2024. So I suppose they have stared communicating to personal emails as well. I stopped seeing Migration tile and I now see only HR migration tile. Moral of the story, you will loose all access soon. So don't worry about migrating to their apps or emails etc. It will be over soon. Good luck.

Please be patient, she is stressed out by all the VMW employee requests. Thank you.
I appreciate satire and humor, but look at the subject of the message and think through if such a thing is necessary. For threads that looking for genuine information by people loosing their position, it would be nice to show some compassion and post useful info.

I would say benefits and enrollment, not sure if that would be necessary, but I do think it is, since you should be covered till near the end of Jan. This is assuming you are in USA, if you are in a different country, please check what is applicable with respective of your local situation in similar matters. Also, you would still need your Broadcom id for any communication with HR with respective of severance, payroll and matters as such.
Things like migrating data and all, I guess could be ignored, email won't hurt I guess.
I was notified yesterday, which is what I wanted. I was going to retire anyway, so severance is a windfall. However, I still have email access, Okta Verify and Box apps have been installed on my PC, and today I was invited to Hock's coffee talk at 3pm. What's going on? The termination letter stated that I need to be available to answer questions during the notice period, so is Broadcom keeping me connected to get a little more work out of me? I hope they will pull the plug soon.
I really do not have many complaints about how I am being treated by Broadcom, but a bit more transparency would be nice.
If I were you, sit on your a-s and do nothing. What's the point anyway.
Just chill and focus on yourself now.
No, you are out bro
