Some people are saying they were laid off and didn't receive any severance. This seems impossible to me. I can understand low severance, but none whatsoever? Can this really be happening? I was worried about layoffs before, but if this is true, it brings it to a whole new level.

I was laid off with severance but I'd been here for 20 years so they gave me more but I'm sure only to make sure I don't sue for wrongful termination since I am a protected class. 1 week of severance for every year of service, some extra benefits cash to pay for the really high COBRA premiums you'll be paying to cover your health insurance. I know people who were laid off same time as me with under 5 years tenure, and they still got a little severance. It's bare minimum at best.
i was laid off last october from cbre after 9 years, their severance was a joke. 1 week per year service. they took 2 months to fully pay out final paycheck too. save your energy and stress, just say no.
I was laid off in July 2023 from CBRE Valuation division after five years working there. NO SEVERANCE AT ALL! So shameful.
TALENT SOURCERS, PEOPLE WHO PLACE AMAZON FACILITY MAINTENANCE WORKERS....
My severance package was terrible and the whole process was managed poorly. Avoid this company at all cost. Don’t wait until you get burnt by them.
Culturally they’d just lay off people if needed
Which teams any idea ?
