Don’t Forget to Close Out Your ESPP

Need some extra money for Christmas shopping? Don’t forget to withdraw your contributions to the ESPP! There’s no tax because it was taken out after tax already, and fu-k TU - why would you want stock in this shithole company anyway, anymore?

How do we withdraw? Is there an app?

ESPP isn't pre-tax. What you can make is a 15% return the ESPP discounts off the 12/29 close-of-trade price once the shares post into your Fidelity account. But you'll pay the short-term tax rate on any profits.

That’s not in an individual’s best interest. If you make it to the end of the ESPP then you can always sell ASAP and take the 18% pre-tax win. Don’t back out of the ESPP early unless you absolutely need the money.
