Elliot states how most of us feel, but do not have the wealth and power to make the needed change. Not all heroes wear capes.
@jss+1pO6I7tM, wrong. No matter how much the fiber people want to deny that the fiber business is a drag on Crown, Elliot is right and you’ll be working for Billy bobs fiber company in a matter of months. Good riddance!
JY being let go and roughly 250 employees being let go is not a significant change to a company of 5,000. On top of that, only a portion of the layoffs in 2020 came from fiber. A lot of them came from the towers as well which Elliot said nothing about. Those employees were getting cut regardless of Elliot’s letter.
@zvh+1pO6I7tM, you don't think they can drive significant change? The last time they came at us, we lost Jim Young and a bunch of people got laid off. With your short sightedness, I hope you're one of the SP slugs who are getting let go.
What I get from the article is that Elliot has recently tried this with several other companies and Crown Castle is not their only target. There are a lot of big companies on the list. I can see them maybe having a small impact on any one of those companies, not enough to make significant changes.
