Funniest thing happened in our store on Black Friday. One of the managers saw two customers coming down the escalator from from the home store and they each were carrying a Kitchen Aid mixer. Since they looked like they were struggling to carry them, he offered to use the cart that he had for filling in bags and boxes to help them out to their car. Turns out, they were both shoplifters and he actually helped them out to their car with stolen merchandise and even loaded them in their SUV. Just one of the things that happens in our store since we don't have security in the building and we will literally do anything a customer wants to avoid the possibility of getting a bad survey. Working retail in today's Macy's is a trip.

That deserves a MAGIC story :)
Our store only has one AP person and they can't make arrests with only one person, so they spend their day on the cameras find shoplifters and calling employees to go and ask them if they need help. If the shoplifter drops the merchandise we get a $40 award. We have so many shoplifters that everyone is getting these awards which should make for a lot of gifts under the tress this year.
This sounds about right. Lmao the shop lifters will be even more emboldened now because they got away with it!
