VMW managers have no information and are in the same situation as the individual contributors. They are not cc’d on any of the emails and do not know who is getting what. They have access to the same portal of information as you do. Not helpful for anyone!

Got mine - no signature requested and no HR info on the portal as the letter states there should be.
Anyone know how to find out what the actual terms of the non working period are?

why on earth are they dragging this out like this? All the other tech companies did the layoff in one shot - everyone was notified start of the day. This is a joke.

Not from the perspective of a Private Equity buyer. Being short-staffed is the objective.
Anyway, sorry to hear your news. It's best to focus on that next job. Just move on. You should find a company with a future and a product category that isn't in decline like EUC.

just like in October, there is one poor guy at Broadcom typing up all the letters as fast as he can... word is he is going at about 10 letters per hour, he will get to your letter in the year 2064 according to my math

Wow.... EUC engineering is short staffed already. Seems that getting rid of them would do more damage than good at this point. I thought EUC was going to be pretty much left as it is, but I guess if that was the case there would have been communication already.
As well as the euc engineers forced return to the office in bangalore with no benefits, a lot of them got their notice. Last day DEC 31st. This is brutal.
The guys in Bangalore office for euc got their letters. They have basically been told they are leapers with no bonus entitlements and they are to be in the office effective date of the sale closure. A huge proportion work from home which in some cases thousands of miles from Bangalore. The forced clear out by BC begins. Word is that a lot will leave.
