We the all mighty Broadcom will whip your soft, lazy VMware as--s into shape in no time! Come little slaves, start coding 10x faster if you want to last! Put some sweat equity into it! Otherwise there always India and China, cheap labor model ftw bitchazzz!!

This is coincidental with the comment from the person who claims their source is an HR VP. Tbh, I don't see it far fetched at all. It is a way bigger number than what we thought it would be a year ago, but not surprising at all right now, sadly.
What strikes me as odd is the fact that the number isn't public. Other IT companies announced the number of layoffs globally at the beginning of the year and it turn out to be a domino effect. HT has never looked shy to me in the sense of not wanting to be clear. This whole mess, dark and twisted process has been a surprise... I thought that it had more to do with the VMware LT at one point, but now... I don't know...
many people got transition offers. so, roughly 4000-5000 people got termination letters today.. might increase to 15k in 9 months
There will be 10 people left in 12 months, all named hock 1-10.
I’m struck by the number of self righteous comments here. More cuts are coming. I’ve been pond sc-m and I’ve been the king. This is a legit question on a board meant to discuss these things. The OP - me - is financially independent and has multiple offers. I still want to know and so should you.
Your lack of emotional intelligence may serve you well at Broadcom, but it will not serve you well at home or in the world.
not sure right now. From a good HR source, once all rounds are done within the next few months it will be around 22k. Very reliable source. Think what you want out of it, and im sure there will be haters here with stupid comments.
Wait and see how reliable that HR VP level source is.
