Hock has publicly announced his intentions to invest $2B into VMware. Where do you think that investment is going to be spent? Will they try to get some crafty marketing folks to build up VMW as an AI platform player? Hybrid cloud / private cloud? Will they blow it all on Tanzu (HAHAHAHA)?

when companies say they are investing 2b in R&D they mean that is what the departments cost to run, it wont be that much additional investment
Yes. What Tanzu is missing is more money to burn. The current 2billion spent over 4 years isn’t enough. Please spend more! Only then it will be successful. Please keep the current leadership who made such a great product in tact, maybe also hire more people to answer the phone because the orders are flying in from everywhere, customers can’t get enough!

AVGO does not make investments in marketing, it's partly why they have such a bad image. The negative stories in the media have been setting the stage for future coverage

Too little too late to be recognized as a credible player in the AI space for customers. However, they may invest in AI for internal use cases that improve IT Ops to cut costs.
Invest it in spreadsheets and analysts to cut costs.
If your not going to work for them why do you care?
