Update: frankly team leads have no clarity on the staff cuts. Does not seem like much activity... This tells me the re-org is not going be as quick as it seemed...

I also understand that the severance money is the same before (country by country) but there is no voluntary severance as there was in previous company-wide or country-wide exercises. 'Course, if you get on well with your boss...............

No severance? Better check your sources. I’ll looking at the off boarding guide right now dated Oct 2023 and it’s exactly the same as 2020. Before spouting sh-t you know nothing about, validate your sources.

I have seen a number for cuts, but cannot be certain enough to say. It was small though, less than 1000 for IDE. Several are falling victim or will be to quiet firing, for the sole reason that the people at the top making the decisions do not know the value these employees bring. It’s not enough to be a high performer and valued colleague. You have to be a grade A schmoozer too. Put that in your goals for 2024 if you are still around.

Any idea on the percentages? example : 20% staff reductions in VPship etc ? One thing for certain is there is no SVS, you cannot volunteer. There will be MOR but not many real positions will be available. the saving grace is 3 week per year severance most likely will still be available.. I predict last day to be April 30th for the leavers. Any idea on the % cuts though ??

It's already happening in P&T. Bosses are being told to lose a few positions and it's down to team leaders to make happen. They chose who goes and if those folks can't find a job internally, then off they go, with the local parachute to ease the landing.

I heard big cuts in business spend coming and P&T (where IT reports into) will have to cut in proportion. I am expecting the announcement in the Dec P&T webcast. Fingers crossed!

It’s coming and P&T is leading the charge. I’ve been told OPEX, i.e. people will be the biggest tool to reduce cost. Not anything new, but now it’s been officially confirmed.
