You should better ask question if you role/position is really critical for company growth. If you are developer or SME you are most likely safe and you will gain a lot of money by staying at Broadcom. Others will most likely be let go now or soon.

COVID has shown me I can work from home and don’t need to live in a crowded urban area where everything costs 3x normal and suffer through a 3hr or more daily commute.
So not a good fit for me if Hock swings his big dïck around and wants us all in the office 5 days a week.
Time will tell.
If I count amount of stocks and salary, I'm receiving about 3-4 times more money than at CA. If you don't like money just leave. No other company is offering me similar package.
Hock a mole!
Better to ask, will Broadcom be with me!
BC will do layoffs to keep the ROI inline in the acquisition. They won't care who you are or what you do or what the consequences are.
No

The history of AVGO layoffs at CA and Symantec indicate we are not safe at all. Both companies lost developers and technical talent during the multiple layoffs.
In all honesty, no. Myself and a number of close colleagues I work with are now actively looking for roles, reaching out to our contacts in the industry. We don’t have much faith in the Broadcom story for VMware. I wouldn’t apply for a job at Broadcom so why would I get a job with them by default?
Unlikely - will either be laid off or discarded to an even worse employer
If you have current tech skills, and some remaining self-respect, why stay at a company that manages employees like cattle on a spreadsheet of disposable assets?
Unlikely, waiting to see if we get sold off to a better class of company.
No, I have a conscience, feelings an am generally human. That's incompatible with communist dictatorships.
