Thread regarding Dish Network layoffs

You Have To Be Insane To Stay @Dish

Who in their right mind would want to stay at Dish??!

It's the absolute worst company to work at (actually voted #1 Worst Company twice).

The pay is extremely low, disrespectful work environment, terriblle benefits, 401k s*cks, no job security, no severance, pitiful PTO & holidays, and Dish is going bankrupt.

Worked there in the past and all the negatives outlined are true. Had enough one day and just ghosted the place. Nothing would bring a smile to my face and immense joy to see the entire empire crumble to nothing.

I told my manager I wasn't "Dish Material" when I quit.

He didn't seem to understand that I didn't consider that a failure.

The ones who self-select to stay in spite of being treated as they are.

It isn't a bug. It's a feature.

Problem is those types of people don't innovate and create 5G networks. And the only thing he can hire are the telecom execs playing the merry-go-round game.

Kinda funny to watch him light fire to his billions because of his arrogance. But hey, who am I to argue with free entertainment?

Before coming over to Dish in the Boost Mobile acquisition from T-Mobile/Sprint I remember reading what a shoddy reputation Dish had and warning my co-workers.

Initially they didn't internalize what I was sharing, but soon it became abundently clear to them that Dish is a total nightmare to work at. Many have since left via finding new external jobs, firings and layoffs.
