Teradata is NOT "woke". The whole DEI act is nothing more than a silk blouse on a pig, a facade, a PR move to try and attract talent.
I've worked at successful, woke companies in the past, and there was a lot of cool employee perks, culture, and benefits you would expect from a liberal work place (gaming caves, free 3D printing, free/vendor meals, free bottled water, open scheduling etc.).
Teradata does none of those things. The toxic, micro-managing atmosphere was one that seems only a few years removed from the times when workplaces had a "foreman" walking around hitting people on the head with his hardhat-- yelling at them to get their lazy as--s back to work. Or a company that just recently relocated from a more conservative place like Ohio, to California.
Aside from the few token hires for TD's Woke Facade, most of the management I worked for when I was there-- were all far-right, authoritarian, transactional, and toxic to the hilt. Most of the HR folks who sign your RIFF paperwork are all far-right there. Aside from HA, JW, and a few other tokens, the C-suite is dominated by far-rights.
Matter-of-factly, TD is so cartoonishly over-the-top with the DEI stuff (and I am a progressive), I suspect that somebody up top KNOWS the company is failing, and wants to make it into a "go woke, go broke" narrative (*because the C-suite folks don't care if TD goes ti-s-up).
