60 days on payroll?

For those that are being laid off in the United States can we expect an end date of Jan 21, 2024? This is the typical 60 days notice that is given. Losing the Dec 1 vest 8 days before is going to be brutal.

Note, AVGO has had huge legal expenses related to this deal. Who do you think will pay for that unanticipated extra cost burden? Yes, I'm looking at you, and all your peers.

It is uncommon for large companies to NOT follow standard WARN protocol. Not following WARN will only attract potential for more legal issues. Most likely they will simply give the 60 day notice... fwiw Broadcom has always given 60 days with ALL their previous acquisitions so there is no reason for them to do something different this time.

In addition, this has also been confirmed by VMW Sr. leadership.

"It’s going to be quite a nice lump sum!"

Wait until you get the details. No need to set yourself up for disappointment.

You will have everything best over the next 60 days as well as if you received a grant last summer 25% of that will be accelerated

You were never getting the Dec 1 vest though, so why mourn its passing

If those laid off are on payroll for 60 days then most certainly stocks are vesting during that time so it makes a huge difference.
