Poor schmucks that bought on the rumour of a delay hoping the election would open up again.... casino mentality but hey, their money to burn.

What is strange however is why VMW and AVGO are still trading as the deal is a stock conversion and volatility can have a negative / positive impact depending upon where AVGO closes today. I would have thought the market would suspend both.

Deal is approved - stock market likes it.

It has been conditionally approved, should go down to 142.50 today.

Now it has dropped -7. No deal by Nov. 26 and either company walks away?

+7 ATM. It seems very volatile. Something is happening.

+30 now.

It means that the close will not happen by Nov. 26, but both boards will agree to keep going, and there will be another election period. Anyone that purchased VMW in the high $140s could see a very nice profit if the deal closes eventually.

And it’s climbing even further! Such a shame our RSUs are frozen.
