Is this a risk for the deal?

Now I have no doubt the deal will close but even today's announcement I noticed the US is missing from the list of countries that approved the deal.

It does say that "There is no legal impediment to close the deal in the US"

But I found the following articles from FTC and I am not sure what to make out of them

"However, the law permits the antitrust agencies to determine that a merger is illegal even after the companies have merged and even if the merger was subject to premerger review. When the FTC does not challenge a transaction prior to its consummation, this does not constitute an “approval” or “clearance” of the deal, and the agency maintains the right to challenge a deal regardless of whether it was initially investigated. The FTC always has the right to take such further action as the public interest may require."

Is this a "delusion" because FTC is an imaginary agency in the matrix?

People need to stop posting the fake TS2 story. It’s old, I believe from 11/2, it’s has the wrong value for the deal ($10b), it’s a junk article that’s not accurate at all.

"Is this a risk for the deal?"

Let's wait and see what the internal communication says about what happens next.

The press release is short on the details of what the implications of the delay have been on the initial acquisition plan. I would expect more details to follow. This was an unprecedented close process and we've yet to learn how that impacts the deal.

The Federal Trade Commission Postpones Approval for Broadcom’s VMware Takeover

In a surprising turn of events, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has decided to postpone its approval for Broadcom’s proposed takeover of VMware, a leading provider of cloud computing and virtualization software. The FTC’s decision comes as a setback for Broadcom, a global technology company specializing in semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions.
