Thread regarding Commscope Inc. layoffs

Upcoming Town hall - Chuck needs to tell his employees the expected layoffs!

Executives should know by now on how many people they plan to layoff in 2024. The # of cuts for Q1 2024 has been solidified when Chuck made his quarterly announcement. Why can’t he just tell us?

If Chuck is a great CEO, he needs to be transparent so we’re can all prepare for our next move. Many of us have families to feed.

Number 1 Commscope was built on selling cable not depending on government handouts in the last meeting i was in at Commscope they said they managed other company’s inventory how in the world does that happen if i owned a company that installed cable no way a cable company would be managing my inventory on top of that commscope has 52 Vice Presidents what in the world would they need that many for and if you research all the top people they came from other companies they liquidated and sold off assests and closed down commscope has other competition now they arent the leader any more abd if you beleive what management tells you i hate to tell yoo but they are trained to lie

If you are paid off laid off and happy why are you checking on this site? The orders stopped coming in for fiber after this administration promised free money for broadband internet access for rural areas in the new climate bill, doesn't take much to see if you just look at it 😉

"...it's about the free money that this white house administration has promised, if you voted for it you are getting exactly what you voted for, Government control..."

I don't believe you have the brain capacity required to be a Telecommunication's Engineer or associate. Government DOES NOT control anything unless they are instructed to by their industry lobbyists and PACs. Our economy is the way it is due to 40 years of deregulation and the business monopolies that have created the oligarchy that we now live in.

Aren't all of us through with the Reagan fantasy of "Trickle Down" prosperity?

It has nothing to do with the CEO or anyone else running the company, they would love to be selling all the cable and everything else to go with it that we could get out of the door, it's about the free money that this white house administration has promised, if you voted for it you are getting exactly what you voted for, Government control

Commscope as a company and chuck as a person, does not care if you have a family to feed, a roof over your head or not. He get his millions regardless. He’ll be in his mansion eating his prime rib, while you’re in the soup line. My family was more important to me than
worrying about whether I’d have a job tomorrow or not. It’s good money, but my mental and physical health was more important, and my family needed me to be 100%. I left, now I feel much better and have a good job with a great company. Leave.

Two points need to be made here:

  1. Chuck isn't a good CEO. If he was, he wouldn't have to be installed by Carlyle in companies. He's a hatchet guy with one job - cut up the company for parts.
  2. Referencing point one, Chuck has one job. He doesn't care about you, your family, or Commscope. He cares about cutting the company up because that is what Carlyle wants to get their investment back.

Just in case anyone wasn't clear.

Why don't you go to find a new job?! This place is sinking, you may have job today but not in next round of layoff. Assets are selling off in cheap price, this market situation no buyers would like to touch these assets. Good luck.

The original post says it all " if Chuck was a great CEO", well, go figure, any potential for that sailed a long time ago! Anyhow does a CEO like Sam Altman get ousted as a founder who garnered an $80 billion valuation for his Openai.com co. And a CEO who has presided over a massive set of trauma in stock, employee and bad market perception enjoy a $10.2m package in 2022, beats me !!!!!!

Nothing to do with transparency.

It’s a hostage situation

Understand that if they told you now,

valuable people would be looking for a job and leave, stat

Leaches, would flip a coin and hope for a package.

The rest, who knows

But, If they hold you hostage, they can extract value out of you, then let you go, on their terms!

Has nothing to do with transparency.

This place cares NOTHING about its employees anymore. They don’t care we all have families to feed. I’ve worked for them 20+ years and it keeps getting worse and worse. Our benefits are trash anymore. They are out to line their own pockets. They’ve made all the updates for Corporate office space and take our cafeteria away and all of our test sets and computers are outdated.

They are incapable of transparency. There were no numbers given for the layoffs earlier this year. There have been no rallying the troops meetings all year
