People who think this will be done this week just because it's November 26 on Sunday are incredibly naïve. That date is nothing but a formality. I'm guaranteeing you this will drag on into the next year. Don't expect to get any relief for a long time to come.

More proof that people "guaranteeing" things here are just full of 💩
Oops 🤣
This one didn’t age well….haha
The date is by contract. I suggest you update yourself on how a legally binding contract works.
Our stock being held hostage is not helping confidence.
The date is not a “formality” it is contractually obligated. Both parties can choose to extend that date and enter into a new contract but baring that, this date absolutely means the deal is dead.
On another note I really pity the people stressing over this 24/7. Have I had enough of this cr-p? Sure. Do I want it to just be over one way or another? Of course. Am I stressing over this 24/7? Hardly. Thankfully I have a life outside of work.
On top of that we are being well paid to work. If you aren’t working while being paid, you are in the wrong not VMware. You can rationalize it anyway you want but it doesn’t change that fact.

Don't be foolish. You may be desperately hoping that you are right, but you're wrong.
Do you doubt Raghu when he says it will be soon, or not at all? So, it's now or never.
That date is nothing but a formality.
That date was what was signed off on by both VMware and Broadcom BOD. It was also signed off by the parties providing the financing as well as the shareholders.
This date is not just a formally, it’s a contractually agreed deadline.
Precisely at 11:00 PST is when the acquisition fairy sprinkles magic dust to make the deal end.

You only realized that now? That has been established so long ago on this site as well as Slack...

Well if some random on the Internet guarantees it, it must be true!
