Will they invest it back into the business or will they distribute it amongst the C-suite / Board of Directors?

What will Broadcom do with that saved money is the question now?
- 5 billions nothing for brcm, it can be easily covered as expenses. But VMware board will take this opportunity to cut the resources and re org as broadcom shown the right path…
The guys who all got rsu will be feel bad.
Ho----s & Co----e.
What will VMware do with the $1.5 billion?
nothing that should concern you.
What 1.5 billion? I thought it is fine only when one walks away from deal before 26 Nov. or is it not the case?
Pretty sure it will be used to fill a swimming pool with gold coins for Scrooge McDell to dive into
I heard they will donate it to plant mangrove trees.
I have heard from VP level sources that it will be evenly distributed amongst employees who stuck it out.
That's roughly 1.5 billion / 40,000 = $37,500 bonus for each of us just to say sorry for the whole Broadcom thing.
VMware will get 1.5 Billion if the deal does not go through.
Share price will fall down from 150 to 95.
Each shareholder will get 5 USD from the 1.5 Billion.
Count your losses, if the deal does not close in next 2 days.
Oh….my guess will be to lay off a large percentage of resources. Cuts across the business at all levels and functions. Even the 🐢 will not be safe.
Given the recent history here, maybe the best use is to settle the inevitable VMW shareholder law suites. Lots of folks are going to be very angry once the deal collapses and the long-term damage to the company's brand is quantified and totalled.
Big portion to Raghu for this outstanding display of leadership throughout. The man deserves his bag..
They could keep it at the corporate level, or they could distribute to shareholders as a dividend.
Two possibilities
We should throw a party for the money, invite Train to perform, and then set it on fire burning man style.
Get the 1.5b in pennys and then drop them from a helicopter on Dell and Durban’s many estates, cars, and jets.
